Pilbara Building Company was engaged by the City of Karratha to upgrade the Information and Rest Bay along the North West Coastal Highway as part of a broader tourism initiative. The project transformed the existing rest area into a welcoming and informative space designed to encourage visitors to explore the region.

Works included new entry signage and kerbing, a highly engineered billboard and shade structure designed for cyclonic conditions, and seating and interpretive signage within the rest area. Careful planning and coordination were required due to the remote nature of the site and the absence of existing power and water services. The project was delivered efficiently, contributing to the promotion and development of the Pilbara region.
