Project Delivery

Pilbara Building Company provided on-site construction, commercial and contract management support during the delivery of the Bay Village workers accommodation facility for Woodside in Karratha, WA.

The large-scale development comprised 604 accommodation units supported by extensive communal infrastructure, including administration facilities, a gymnasium, swimming pool, and multi-use sports courts designed to service the operational workforce.

Delivered throughout challenging environmental and market conditions, the project required careful coordination and adaptive management during the Pilbara cyclone season, including the impacts of Cyclone Damien, as well as the operational challenges presented by COVID-19 restrictions and workforce management requirements.

PBC played a key role in supporting site operations, commercial administration, contract coordination, and construction activities, contributing to the successful delivery of the project while maintaining a strong focus on safety, programme outcomes, and collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

A significant focus was also placed on local engagement, with strong participation from local workers and suppliers throughout the delivery of the project.
